I watch the reruns on DVD which they are funny Richard Beckinsale and Ronnie Barker worked well as a team they are the best sitcoms I ever watched they are going to be sadly missed from our tv screens that why I can't wait for the repeats to be shown they are great and funny and it always make me laugh.

At 41 I still watch Porridge on UKGOLD on sky and despite having seen them over and over they are as funny as the first time around.  It's very sad to think that many members of the cast are now gone and in particular Richard Beckinsale who I believe was only in his early 30s when he passed away.  Nobody makes comedy like this anymore which is a crying shame as in my opinion laughter is definitely the best medicine.  Great site a big thank you to the owner.  Cheers.

I have been watching the first two series of Porridge over the last couple of nights, still as funny as when they were made 30 years ago, the comedies of today will not stand the passing of time as well.

Thank you so very much for this absolutely great site, I am very glad I camme across it and am having a great time going through it.  What beautiful memories, Porridge was one of my all time favourite comedies.  And watching Brian Wilde on last of the summer wine is another favourite. Once again thank you so very much for taking the time to make this site possible I and my Wife absolutely love it.  Yours William & Carol Nelson

Website: lovelyrecovery.com We love Ronnie Barker in Porridge.  What a face - so mobile!  A great loss to comedy - his death and early retirement. Have a listen to lovelyrecovery.com for some other golden material from the same era.

Excellent site - as comprehensive you could hope for.  I only came across it recently and it is now a firm favourite. I have been a youthworker for nearly all my professional life and Fletch's relationship with Len is a great source of inspiration.

Porridge is the best comedy ever to be made, from its strong cast to the writing and acting.  Great website, great to see there are so many fans of Porridge.

I thought that Ronnie Barker was the best comedian of the years because there is no one who will be like him.  In my opinion Ronnie Barker is one of the best impressionists of all time.  My favorite comedy's that he has done is Porridge, open all hours also The seven of one.  thank you for reading.  from soren

I have only really been a fan of Porridge and Ronnie Barker for the last few years and in that time I have found all the dvds of Porridge Open All Hours etc, I hope that the BBC soon put all the Beyond the Box programs to disc as I would love to see the Norman Stanley one. I would swap all of todays sitcoms for one last one by Ronnie a great loss!

Brilliant, made me laugh - great memories.  Shame you haven't got the Starting lyrics for Porridge..... I got here by looking for that to put on my phone.  Let me know if you or anyone else knows where I can get it from without it costing much. Note from Porridge Webmaster... is this was what you were looking for?

Well what can one say about this epic.  I'm just sad the show and the great Ronnie Barker are no longer with us but I'm still lucky to have the wonderful videos and memories of Ronnie Barker to look back on.  There is not any comedy/sitcom that comes near to as good int he last 15 years.  With thanks God bless Ronnie Barker...
