Do you know what was used in the opening titles as the exterior of Slade prison? Because Slade prison is fictional.

Following on Sonny Hamilton's comment why don't you add a forum to this site? Adding a forum and/or regular polls, would certainly improve this site.

I think this website needs to be a bit more active. Why not add quizzes, or polls to find out favourite episodes etc.

How tall was he and how old did he look in Porridge, but, the way, did he have a posh voice?

I must admit I cannot think of any Irish characters at all in Porridge. The only character I can think of who is thin and not English was Evans who ate electric light-bulbs. If anyone else has any ideas then please pass on your comments in this guest book.

I wonder if you Porridge fans can help me. We have a bloke at work that looks just like one of the inmates from the show but we can't remember the name of the guy. He was a thin old(ish) Irish fella with a pointy face. Please help if you can.

I just bought a porridge DVD after seeing this site. The pineapple chunks episode was worth the licence fee on it's own.

Website: I don't have one! I think Porridge is ace, I have only recently bought series 1-3 on DVD but I was very disappointed to find that the Christmas specials were not included. I can't recall ever seeing Going Straight although I'd like to. Hopefully it will be released on DVD as many thing are, especially if popular demand as it would seem after reading the comments of other people who have visited your site. My favourite episode is the one where Fletcher's in hospital with a bad foot. It's a shame about Beckinsale though, he was a good actor and his daughter Kate it well hot! I have enjoyed reading your site and found it very usefull. Laterz, Leon

This site is great, the only bad thing I would have 2 say is the size of the font, makes the site difficult 2 read!

In response to Kristian's question there was a special transmitted around Christmas time. It followed Fletch's early life and Ronnie Barker reprised his role at the end of the program. Fletch ends up owning his own pub and the programme ended appropriately with Fletch singing "See the Pyramids Across the Nile".

I have like your site very much as Porridge is very good show which I have on DVD from friend in England. My father was in prison in England in years gone it is said and friend think Porridge good show tell me how. Fletch is a good man in the end and this is strength of show, but not so true to life! Your site look simple and easy also to use. Congratulation and thank you.
