Very impressed by the website - good show. I learned with a heavy heart today of Ronnie's passing and realise that the comedy world has lost one of its brightest stars. He will live on in our hearts, books and video collections. God bless you, Ronnie - we've lit four candles for you tonight.

Very very sad to hear about the loss of Ronnie. I am a big Porridge fan and Open All Hours. I have met the man at Pinewood Studios when I was working there and David Jason and he was a wonderful person god bless him.

Have just heard the news & am desperate to send my sympathies to Mrs Barker, Ronnie C. & David Jason in particular. I'm crying as it is, but all I've done is grow up with Ronnie - in every shape & form!- on my TV screen, & watch all repeats ad infinitum. My heart goes out to those who knew him personally. At least we can be sure that Rommie will be with us forever. 4 candles at the ready here - or otherwise some fork handles from my tool shed!

England is now a weaker Nation for the loss of such a great comic actor and writer, Genius is word used to much these days but to describe Mr Barker as a genius is just not enough, I will forever have a warm place in my heart for this wonderful man. The world has lost a truly great performer today. I will always consider Porridge Ronnie Barker's best work. Not only is it one of the best comedies it also has moments of great emotion in it as well. This was down to the actors in the show. Sadly yet another actor from this show is no longer with us. I'm sure Ronnie is up there now catching up with Richard about old times. All the best Ronnie.

It may be a final goodnight from him but your comedy will reign years into the future.
